What Size Wall Art Do I Need? Canvas Print Size Guide (11x14, 16x20, 18x24)
Short answer: art should span about 60–75% of the width of the furniture below it. A queen bed (60 in wide) takes a 16x20 in canvas; a 3-seat sofa (78 in wide) takes an 18x24 in canvas, or two 11x14 in canvases side by side. Hang the centre of the artwork 57 in (145 cm) from the floor, and leave 6–10 in between the furniture and the bottom edge. We print three canvas sizes: 11x14 ($45), 16x20 ($75) and 18x24 ($99).

Every canvas is a gallery wrap: the artwork continues around the edges, the print is 1.25 inch deep, and it arrives ready to hang — no frame needed.
How high should you hang wall art?
- The 57-inch rule. Put the centre of the artwork 57 in (145 cm) above the floor. That is eye level for most adults, and it keeps a group of pieces visually level without a tape measure.
- Above furniture: leave 6–10 in between the top of the sofa, headboard or sideboard and the bottom edge of the canvas.
- Above a bed: 8–10 in above the headboard, so nobody hits it sitting up.
- On a very wide wall: let the art cover 60–75% of the wall width; beyond that it starts to look like wallpaper.

Two smaller canvases usually beat one large one over a sofa: a pair of 11x14 in pieces is 22 in of art plus a 2–3 in gap, which balances a 60 in sofa better than a single 18x24 in canvas.
The 24x36 question
We do not make 24x36 in canvases. The largest canvas we print is 18x24 in, because printing a 24x36 in canvas on demand would drop the real resolution below the 150 DPI we hold ourselves to. If you need a bigger statement, order two 18x24 in canvases and hang them as a pair.
